We love what we do and it shows. Cocoafrost Pomskies are family run pomsky breeders based in West Yorkshire, UK.

We have a wealth of knowledge and experience in breeding Pomskies, raising puppies and supporting our owners. Having established ourselves in 2014 and now having hands on experience of raising 21 Pomsky litters since then, and mentoring many upcoming UK breeders. We are uniquely placed to help and advise you on your journey to Pomsky ownership. 

We offer exceptionally well bred & home socialised Pomsky puppies, all from BVA health tested & Embark genetically screened and passed parents. 

Our breeding program is well thought out and supported by the team of other breeders we work with to share information and lines so the breed can develop and stabilise in the future. We are proud to be founding members and Chairperson of the United Kingdom Pomsky Association (UKPA) and abide by their strict code of ethics with regards our breeding.

Our UK based Breeding Program

We breed for temperament and health first, then of course for the highly desirable look of the Husky. All our dogs are assessed on all these aspects before a decision to breed is taken, we will not breed a dog with a poor temperament ever. We have very carefully selected our breeding pack to bring desirable traits to the Pomsky and its future. You will see our breeding Pomskies all have husky markings this is to try and ensure that their offspring will also display these markings.

All our dogs are fully BVA health tested, we are one of the few Pomsky breeders in the UK to use BVA testing approved by the UK Kennel Club. Once we have BVA testing results we assess our dogs on their breeding potential and undertake a full discussion on suitability for breeding including optimal pairings with our vet based on ALL elements.

All our dogs suitability for breeding is based on all three aspects of health, temperament, & our assessment of what they will bring to the future look of the Pomsky as it develops as a breed.

Embarks advanced genetic testing allows us to screen our dogs for over 160 genetic disease markers, assisting with breeding decisions to ensure our puppies are genetically healthy from their DNA to the tips of their tails

BVA Health Schemes

We use the BVA/ Kennel Club approved health testing schemes which give a tried and tested result that is clear to make a decision against. Our parents BVA hip, elbow and eye results are independently recorded on our puppies KC papers

Accountability

Our membership of the UKPA (United Kingdom Pomsky Association) makes us accountable via their strict code of ethics and member regulations for the administering and reporting of required health testing.

My name is Joanne Brown and I am your breeder, source of support and to some, their mentor. Breeding is my passion, doing it exceptionally well my constant goal. Being a breeder is a very privileged position and one of great responsibility to be in. But it is one I cherish. When your owners tell you how you literally changed their life there is nothing quite like it!

I wasn't always a dog breeder and prior to 2015 was working in the corporate accounting industry. I believe fate led me to dog breeding with the arrival of my first Pomsky in 2014. Fast forward a year later and a whole load of research and I put my first ever litter on the ground and officially became A BREEDER. I have never looked back and Love every minute of what I do and the extended family I have gained through our owners.

I am now one of the few OFQUAL Level 3 Qualified Breeders in the UK and also very proud to be licenced to the higher welfare standards by my local council. Coupled with my position as Chairperson of the UK Pomsky Association and mentor to many other breeders, I bring a wealth of knowledge & experience to my breeding and ongoing support to each and every owner of our puppies.

I will however always be a Pomsky lover first! They are my passion.
